Industrie 4.0

Industrie 4.0

There is an industry standard, originating in Germany, referred to as Industrie 4.0 Solutions, which involves automation using “the Internet Of Things”. For example, in the field of predictive maintenance, vibration and temperature measurements are continuously monitored for evidence of pending equipment breakdown.

Our Cloud installations are well suited to interface with these systems. They can be used, amongst other things, to respond to impending problems by participating in automatic solutions within a factory or between factories in a network (the “Members”). The solutions are driven by Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning in particular) to devise a reorganisation of factory production. In this way the system makes allowance for the necessary maintenance or other delay – in real time, with no or minimal loss of output.

generalisations
Synchronously, your Blockchain network handles the usual incoming and outgoing orders, payroll, payments, production scheduling and quality & inventory control. At its core The General integrates your Machine Learning models and provides for all your Enterprise Accounting, Recording, Reporting and Planning requirements.

The AI component of your System will be developed by you in cooperation and supported by ITOTCCA, via your provider of choice (we can assist with model development, building, training and testing on TensorFlow), on your ITOTCCA Cloud Installation, as a separate Project to the Initial Core Blockchain Project. Note that IoT and Instrument data cannot be enclosed by the Elastos Carrier System as yet, as the Elastos IoT level caters for Home Appliances only at the present. We merge incoming data from notifiable events onto the Elastos Blockchain system upon receipt from machines and devices, over the usual web-socket-based SSL encryption system, in the Cloud. Nevertheless, we are continuing to investigate the potential to embed a Carrier/Elastos Runtime Environment in production software systems on the shop floor and in the field. The actual peripheral devices, sensors, actuators and machines would need to allow their own operating systems to be enclosed by Elastos. This is not a trivial undertaking at the moment.
